Peter H. D'Arcy was an Oregon pioneer, judge, and mayor of Salem, Oregon (1890-1892). The collection includes photographs of Peter D'Arcy and the D'Arcy family; correspondence to and from D'Arcy family members, including Peter H. D'Arcy (1858-1933), Barbara D'Arcy (1874-1900), John (Jack) D'Arcy (1876-1937), Theresa D'Arcy (1913-1935), and Maria D'Arcy; and the firms D'Arcy and Richardson (1894-1897), Progressive Publishing Company (1937-1938), and D'Arcy & Bingham (1890-1894). Also included are speeches and addresses by Peter H. D'Arcy (1891-1926); miscellaneous estate records; ledgers regarding legal transactions in Marion County; and various brochures. Other materials include a microfilm reel with information concerning the State Manufacturing Company, Oregon State Penitentiary Commissary Department, and the Gervais Milling Company.
